GREENSBORO, Ga. — The Belmont Abbey women's golf team returned to action in its first tournament in three weeks as the Crusaders opened play with 36 holes Monday at the Newberry Invitational at the Harbor Club.

The Abbey finished with a two-round total of 694 led by Katie Cullen, who is currently in 11th place with a two-round total of 167. Cullen had the two best rounds of the day for the Abbey with an 83 in Round 1 and 84 in Round 2. Lilianna Carcel matched Cullen's total in the second round as well.

Erskine leads the tournament with a 647 total and Coker's Haylie George leads with a two-round total of 156.
