BRISTOL, Tenn. – Paeton Phillippi and
Bridget Forgatch both earned Top 15 finishes and
Ashlan Tresca finished with the best round by a Crusader so far this season as the Belmont Abbey women's golf team concluded play at the King Invitational Tuesday at the Golf Course of Bristol.
The Crusaders finished tied for fifth with Tusculm with a two-day total of 634 (322-312).
Ashlan Tresca finished with the low round of the day for the Crusaders with a 3-over 74 for a two-round total of 161 (87-74). Freshman
Bethany Welch also shot 79 for an identical 161 total.
Phillippi finished with a second straight 79 for a two-round total of 158 as the low round of the day for The Abbey. Forgatch shot 80 (78-80—158) to match Phillippi's total score.
Ella Wiklander rounded out the team with an 84 (83-84—167).
Converse (308-313—621) edged out North Greenville (316-307—623) and King (323-303—626) for the team title while Tusculum's Reagan Padilla earned top medalist honors (73-75—148).
