Box Score BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Matthew Wyatt and Davis McCulley scored five goals each and Thomas Sullivan made 13 saves, leading Belmont Abbey to a 16-6 victory over Lees-McRae in Conference Carolinas men's lacrosse action Thursday afternoon.

The victory in the regular-season finale capped a second-straight undefeated conference schedule at 10-3, 6-0, taking the title outright.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Wyatt added three assists for a team-best eight points.
• Michael Canavan, Jacob Power, Seth Robertson, Riley Arsenault, Casey Block and Tre Childers also tallied a goal apiece.
• After leading just 4-3 after one quarter, the Crusaders gained at 3-1 advantage in the second period and scored all of the third period's goals.

• Belmont Abbey, which clinched the No. 1 seed for the Conference Carolinas Championship on Saturday, has earned a bye to the semifinals.
• The Crusaders will face the winner of the quarterfinal between No. 4 Barton and No. 5 Chowan next Thursday at 4 p.m.
