Haley Kells and
Sydney Keller got an early start to the weekend Thursday, beginning competition in the Heptathlon at the 49ers Classic, hosted by UNC Charlotte. The duo will finish tomorrow, when the traditional events are also on the schedule.
With four of the seven events completed, Kells stands seventh overall, while Keller is 15th. Kells in on pace to challenge the school record of 3396 points by Leondra Pridgen on March 20-22, 2014. Her personal best is 3147 points at UNC Charlotte last year.
