WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Macie Tuttanon was just a quarter inch off the school record in the high jump, earning a podium spot in the event as the 2023 Conference Carolinas Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship opened at the JDL Fast Track.

The Crusaders stand seventh overall with 12 points, just one shy of North Greenville for sixth.

In addition to Tuttanon's seven points for the high jump, Makenna Palozzi scored a point in the 5000 meters and Cristina Villanueva earned two in the long jump. The Distance Medley Relay team also picked up two team points.

Belmont Abbey qualified four runners for the eight-woman 60-meter hurdles final tomorrow, when the meet concludes.
