Charles Solomon has been named Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 12, the league office announced today. The award is the second of the season for the senior forward.
A native from Monroeville, N.J., Solomon finished his two games last week with five blocks and one steal. In Belmont Abbey's thrilling 91-88 home league win over King on Feb. 7, Solomon blocked a career-best five shots. Solomon averaged 8.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game on the week. Solomon is third in Conference Carolinas with 1.5 blocks per game.
