GREENVILLE, S.C. — Belmont Abbey's
Tyler Troche earned his first collegiate honor as he was named the Conference Carolinas Men's Tennis Player of the Month Friday by the league office.
Troche won in both doubles and singles play in the match against Johnson C. Smith on September 29. In No. 2 doubles, he teamed up with
Pedro Knippling to defeat Jerome Adonis and Moises Difuti 6-0. He followed that with a win in No. 3 singles over Adonis, 6-1, 6-3. Belmont Abbey won the dual match 6-1 and finished 2-0 during the fall season.
Troche and the rest of the Crusaders will resume competition during the spring season.
