BELMONT, N.C./MISENHEIMER, N.C. — The Belmont Abbey men's tennis team competed in three matches on a busy Wednesday as the Crusaders faced King and Pfeiffer.
The Crusaders earned a sweep of the Tornado with a 7-0 win and suffered a pair of losses, 4-3 and 5-2, in a doubleheader with the Falcons.
Belmont Abbey won all nine matches against King with five of the six singles matches decided in straight sets.
Ricard Novell rallied from a first set defeat and won a tiebreaker in the third set to complete the sweep.
With Wednesday's results, Belmont Abbey is now 11-13 overall and 3-0 in Conference Carolinas play.
