GREER, S.C. – Paeton Phillippi shot her second straight round of 1-over par 73 and that proved to be enough as she and the Crusaders earned the top spots at the Fall Upstate Invitational Tuesday at Greer Country Club.
 
Phillippi earned top medalist honors for the Crusaders, five shots ahead of teammate Bridget Forgatch (77-74=151). Forgatch was the top finisher for the second team Belmont Abbey had competing in the event. For Phillippi, it is the second straight year that she has earned medalist honors at a tournament after winning the Converse Invitational last spring.
 
The first Crusaders team had four players in the Top 10: Phillippi, Ella Wiklander, Ashlan Tresca and Bethany Welch.
 
Belmont Abbey A finished with a two-round total of 617 (309-308), 12 shots ahead of King (320-309=629). Belmont Abbey B (328-317=635) was fourth.
