BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team closed out its home schedule with a pair of victories in a doubleheader Tuesday at the Reidy Tennis Center. The Crusaders began the day with a 7-0 victory over King in Conference Carolinas play and ended the afternoon with a 4-3 win over Methodist University. The conference win over the Tornado improves The Abbey's conference record to 6-3.
 
Frankee Hendricks had three wins on the day to lead the Crusaders, winning twice in doubles play and earning a win in No. 1 singles over Deniz Aytun. In the second match, Yaritza Gonzalez earned a pair of wins, including the clinching win in singles play to earn a second straight win for the Crusaders.
 
Belmont Abbey is now 13-14 overall.
