BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team put together one of its strongest performances of the season in a 7-0 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan Tuesday at the Reidy Tennis Center. The Crusaders won all nine countable matches to earn a clean sweep of the Wildcats.
Kayla Vaughan and
Lily Aranyos earned a 6-3 victory over Julia Pinto and Alanis Alvarez and Vaughan followed that up with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Pinto in singles play.
Laura Seib and
Elliott Peterson also earned identical 6-1, 6-1, victories over singles play over Alvarez and Sai Sakamoto, respectively. Aranyos,
Carlie Davis and
Paola Socarras all earned victories in both doubles and singles play as well for the Crusaders.

SCHEDULE CHANGES
- The road match against Johnson C. Smith also scheduled for Tuesday was postponed due to rain.
- The Crusaders' home match against Piedmont University scheduled for Wednesday was also postponed due to rain. Both matches will be tried to be made up at a later date.
