SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Lauren Denhard and
Morgan Comer both led the way for the two Belmont Abbey women's golf teams completed play at the Converse Invitational Tuesday at Carolina Country Club.
Denhard finished tied for 11th after finishing the tournament with two rounds in the 70s (79-78—157). Comer was tied for 13th (82-76—158) and her final round of 76 was the low round of the day for the Crusaders. Paeton Phillippi also finished in the Top 20 in a tie for 19th (82-78—160).
YenXuan Ong also had the only other round of the day in the 70s, closing the day with a 79 and finished in a tie for 21st (83-79—162).
In the team standings, the Belmont Abbey A (332-319—651) and B (341-326—667) teams finished 5th and 8th, respectively.
