GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Belmont Abbey women's golf team began play at the Lady Bearcat Invitational Monday at Greenwood Country Club.
 
Kaylee Ong and Morgan Comer led the way for the Crusaders, opening with rounds of 76 and 78, respectively. Ong is tied for 13th overall while Comer is tied for 28th.
 
Albany Bock and Paeton Phillippi both shot similar rounds of 81 with Lauren Denhard rounding out the team with an 82.
 
As a team, Belmont Abbey shot 316 and is in 10th in a crowded leaderboard with only 13 shots separating the Top 10 teams.
 
The Crusaders conclude play with the final round Tuesday.
