SALISBURY, N.C. — Katie Cullen finished with two rounds in the 70s as the Belmont Abbey women's golf team opened play at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational Monday at the Country Club of Salisbury.
 
Cullen shot rounds of 78 and 75 for a two-round total of 153 and is tied for eighth after the first 36 holes. Just outside the top 10 is Ella Wiklander, who is three shots back after a second round of 76. Lilianna Carcel had the other round in the 70s for the Abbey as she opened with a 79.
 
Belmont Abbey is in fifth place as a team as host Catawba leads the tournament followed by Lenoir-Rhyne and West Chester.
