BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team opened Conference Carolinas play with a match against Lees-McRae Saturday at the Reidy Tennis Center.
The Bobcats earned the victory, however, 6-1, over the Crusaders. Belmont Abbey is now 5-12 overall, 0-1 in the league.
Lily Aranyos led Belmont Abbey with a pair of victories. The first came in doubles play teaming up with
Kayla Vaughan to defeat Nursharneem Shamsuddin/Anita Ivanova, 6-3 in No. 1 doubles followed by a 6-2, 6-2 victory in No. 6 singles against Lauren Ocampo.
