BELMONT, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey acrobatics and tumbling team hosted its second-even tri-meet against Confernece Carolinas schools Emmanuel and King Saturday at the Wheeler Center.
The Crusaders went 1-1 respectively for the day, defeating Emmanuel 260.165-245.735 and falling to King 264.445-260.165.
Among Belmont Abbey's best moments of the meet came in the Compulsory Toss, scoring a 9.7 in the event. The Abbey also scored a meet-best 29.1 total in the Acro event and also scored a 9.9 in the Open Pyramid Heat.
Desi Yordanova also earned a 9.725 in the Aerial Pass during the Tumbling Event to help lead the team as well.
The Crusaders moved to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
