MONROE, N.C. – The Belmont Abbey women's golf team closed out play at the Surratt Memorial Invitational Tuesday with its best round of the week at Stonebridge Golf Club. The Crusaders shot 309 as a team to finish with a three-round total of 958, good for a 7th place finish in the team standings.
Kaylee Ong was one of four Crusaders with rounds in the 70s, leading the way with a 2-over par 74. She finished with a three-day total of 233 (82-77-74) and a tie for 14th place. Paeton Phillippi shot 77 for her final round to finish in 28th for a three-round total of 240 (80-83-77).
Lauren Denhard (78-85-79--242) and
Oxana Braun (85-85-79--249) both shot 79 to finish as the top four scorers for the day with the Crusaders.
Morgan Comer shot 82 for the third straight round to finish with a 246 total.
