ST. AUGUSTINE, FLA. – The Belmont Abbey women's golf team teed off in its first tournament of the spring season at the Lincoln Memorial Spring Kick-off Classic Monday at The Golf Club at South Hamptons.
The Crusaders completed their first 18 holes and were able to get through most of the second round before play was suspended due to darkness. Belmont Abbey stood in eighth place when play was stopped for the day.
Morgan Comer is in the best spot for the Crusaders, currently tied for 14th with two others after opening the tournament with a 79 (+7) and was at +5 through 15 holes of her second round.
Kaylee Ong had the best opening round with a 78.
Ashlan Tresca, who is competing as an individual, was able to complete all 36 holes and had the low round of the day for The Abbey with a 76 in her second round.
