BELMONT, N.C. - The Belmont Abbey Acrobatics and Tumbling team earned the first victory in program history as they defeated the Erskine Flying Fleet 237.185 - 111.05 Friday in the Wheeler Center. The Abbey scored 29.85 in the Compulsory followed by a 23.1 in the Acro Event. After earning a 27.2 in the Pyramid event, and a 23.15 in the Toss, Belmont Abbey collected 47.625 points in the Tumbling event with Aspen Terrell, Desislava Yordanova, Madison Wright, Erin George, Molly Hanley, Julia Conger, Delainey Russell, and Eliza George all participating. The Abbey scored an 86.26 in their first even team Event. The Crusaders are 1-0 on the season as Erskine moves to 0-2.
