BELMONT, N.C. - Freshman Kayla Vaughan remained undefeated in singles play, but the Belmont Abbey women's tennis lost a hard-fought match to Chowan 4-3 this afternoon.  The Crusaders are now 1-1 overall, and 0-1 in Conference Carolinas play.  The Hawks are now 1-1 overall, both against conference opponents.

• Vaughan earned a convincing 7-5, 6-1 victory at #1 singles
• Laura Seib earned a comeback win at #4 singles 2-6, 6-3, 7-6
• At #6 singles, Erica Dorn got a 6-4, 3-6-1 victory
