Crusaders Hit .317 at Lincoln Memorial

HARRAGUT, Tenn. -- Belmont Abbey hit .307 as a team -- its second-highest total in eight matches this year -- but Lincoln Memorial posted a 3-0 (25-14, 25-, 25-) victory over the Crusaders Friday night.

The hitting percentage (33 kills, 10 errors, 75 attempts) was shy of only a .347 effort (38-12-75) in the season opener at Indiana Tech. The Railsplitters connected at a .545 clip with 44 kills against nine errors in 68 tries.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Liam Maxwell reached double figures in kills for the third straight match (fifth this season) with 11. He hit .310.
  • Andrew Kohut was next in line with eight kills and a .333 hitting percentage.
  • Brennan Davis tallied 21 assists and six digs, both team highs.
  • The Crusaders fall to 2-6 on the season, while Lincoln Memorial improves to 5-3
