TIGERVILLE, S.C. - Freshmen Blair Boatright and Morgan Nguyen both earned shutouts in singles play, and the Belmont Abbey women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 win at North Greenville this afternoon. The win puts The Abbey at 10-10 overall, with a 6-2 record in conference play. North Greenville dipped to 2-13 on the year, and 1-5 against conference opponents.
Belmont Abbey took all three doubles matches. Riley Ellingson and Teagan McNamara picked up their fifth conference win of the season together at #1.
Singles play was highlighted by Boatright and Nguyen earning 6-0, 6-0 shutouts at #5 and #4.
Belmont Abbey will travel to Barton College on Wednesday, April 11 for a 2 p.m. match.
