SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Riley Ellingson earned win at both #3 singles and #1 doubles as The Abbey cruised to a 9-0 shutout at Converse College this afternoon.  With the win, the Crusaders move to 11-11 on the year, with a 7-3 conference mark.  The Valkyries are now 8-11 on the year, and 3-7 in conference play.  It was Belmont Abbey's fourth shutout this season, and second against a Conference Carolinas opponent.

Ellingson and Teagan McNamara had the quickest match in doubles play, as they earned an 8-3 win at #1.  The duo now own a 7-3 record against conference opponents.

In singles play, freshman Blair Boatright earned a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at #6.  Morgan Nguyen was also strong, winning her #4 singles match 6-1, 6-0.  McNamara had a solid performance as well, with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at #1.  She is now 6-4 against conference opponents.

Belmont Abbey wraps up its regular season tomorrow with a match at Limestone College that will begin at 3 p.m.
