WILSON, N.C. - Senior Erika Noblett earned her third shutout in a row at #6 singles, but the Crusaders dropped a 7-2 decision at Barton College this afternoon. The Abbey now stands at 10-11 this season, and 6-3 in Conference Carolinas play. The Bulldogs improved to 11-9 overall, with a 7-2 conference mark.
Teagan McNamara and Riley Ellingson got the Crusaders off to a good start with an 8-7 victory at #1 doubles. The duo now hold a 6-3 record against conference opponents.
Noblett got the sole singles win for The Abbey, a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at #6. It was her third shutout in a row, and her fourth of the season.
Belmont Abbey will visit Converse College on Friday, April 13, for a 4:30 p.m. contest.
