BELMONT, N.C. - Morgan Zahnd and Erika Noblett got their second win as a duo against Chowan University this afternoon, though the Crusaders lost the contest 8-1. The Abbey is now 7-9 on the year, including a 3-1 conference record. The Hawks are now 9-3 overall, with a 4-0 conference record.
Zahnd and Noblett earned an 8-3 win at #3 doubles, improving their conference record 2-0 on the year. Chowan, however, swept singles play. Teagan McNamara, at #1 singles, had the closest match, which Chowan won 7-5, 7-5.
Belmont Abbey will continue conference play on Friday, March 23, when it welcomes the Emmanuel College Lions. That match will begin at 2 p.m.
