BELMONT, N.C. - The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team faced Peach Belt opponents North Georgia and USC Aiken today to kick off its 2018 season.  The Crusaders lost 9-0 to each team.

In the first match, against North Georgia, the Crusaders were faced against the seventh-ranked doubles team in the nation.  In the second, against USC Aiken, Riley Ellingson and Teagan McNamara put up four points to lead the Crusaders' doubles performance.  Alex Weber led the singles competition, with a 6-1, 6-4 effort against at #5.
