BELMONT, NC – The Belmont Abbey Women's Tennis program downed Lees-McRae 8-1 this afternoon. With the loss, Lees-McRae falls to a 0-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play. The Crusaders move to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

In doubles, Teagan McNamara and Lillie Mehan bested Caroline Greene and Mackenzie Langmade 8-6. Brylee Seitz and Alex Weber would follow suit while defeating Hilary Lutz and Taylor Bost 8-6. Kiersten Cox and Rachele Subik would defeat Amanda Chapman and Rebecca Pierce 8-1.

The Crusaders would only fall to Hilary Lutz (LMC) as she defeated Darian DeFrench 6-0, 6-1. McNamara, Cox, Weber, Seitz, Subik would all hold their opponents to just two sets. Weber would have the closest match of 6-3, 6-3 while defeating Bost. Seitz refused to give up a single point to Chapman as she won 6-0, 6-0.

The Crusaders will be back on the courts on Saturday against Brevard in Hilton Head, SC as Armstrong State hosts.
