Women's Tennis Falls to Mount Olive 6-3 on the Road

MOUNT OLIVE, NC- The Belmont Abbey Women's Tennis fell to Conference Carolina foe, Mount Olive, 6-3, Friday afternoon at the Walker Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Mount Olive. The Crusaders are now 1-6 overall, 0-2 in Conference Carolinas while the Trojans improve to 2-3 overall, 2-1 in league play.

The Abbey jumped out to a 2-1 after doubles competition. In #2 singles flight, Brylee Seitz and Alex Weber got a solid win over Paulina Delgado and Jennifer Byrd, 8-4. While in #3 singles, Kiersten Cox and Rachele Subik defeated Mariana Gamboa and Nicole La Chappelle, 8-4.

Subik claimed a perfect 2-0 day, with a 6-4, 6-1 in #6 singles over Nicole La Chappelle

The Crusaders return to action Saturday for a Carolinas Conference match at Barton. First serve is at 1 p.m. from Wilson, NC.
