The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team improved to 2-1 this afternoon with a 7-2 victory at UVA-Wise.  The Highland Cavaliers are now 8-6.

Belmont Abbey took each of the first two singles competitions, with freshman Aisiri Jandyala defeating Daria Tyshchenko 6-2, 6-0.  Following Jandyala was sophomore Teagan McNamara earning a 6-0, 6-1 win against Aya Melhem.

Jandyala and junior Alex Weber combined for an 8-5 win at #2 doubles, while freshmen Morgan Zahnd and Savannah Smith finished off doubles competition with a 9-7 win.
