Meghan Philp and Nicole Ferren each posted singles victories as the Belmont Abbey women's tennis team lost 7-2 to the visiting Barton Bulldogs this afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center.

Philp, playing at number four singles, won her first set 6-2 and was leading the second 3-2 before her opponent had to retire.

Ferren earned her first career win as she posted a straight sets victory at number six, defeating Casey Utley 7-6, 6-1.
