Men's Volleyball Ends 2015 Season With 3-0 Loss To Mount Olive In Conference Carolinas Tournament

The Belmont Abbey men's volleyball season came to an end this afternoon as the sixth seeded Crusaders fell at the third seed Mount Olive by a 3-0 score this afternoon. The Trojans won by scores of 25-16, 25-19 and 25-17 as they advance to the semifinal round with a mark of 15-10, while the Crusaders end the best season in program history with a record of 13-14.

Belmont Abbey .286 as Anthony Pippen led the way with 12 kills as he recorded a .417 attack. Nolan Albrecht added nine. Derek Sullivan handed out 23 assists.

Defensively, Albrecht and Pippen led the way with five digs each. Sullivan and Robert Valentine both added four.

At the net, Sullivan and Dustin Buell each had four block assists with Albrecht and Synder posting one each.

Today marks the end of the third season in Belmont Abbey men's volleyball history. The Crusaders posted school records in wins (13) and Conference Carolinas wins (9) while graduating its first senior class: Eddie Pennington, Brandon Kimbrell and Spencer Fournell.
