The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team won one doubles match and claimed all four singles wins in straight sets to earn an 8-1 road victory at King this afternoon. The Tornado and the Crusaders forfeited three doubles, while King forfeited five and six singles.
At two doubles, Meghan Philp and Erika Noblett posted an easy 8-1 victory to even the match at one.
Entering singles, with the Crusaders virtually ahead 3-1 with the two King forfeits, the Crusaders earned easy wins at all four spots.
At the top flight, Katharine Miller posted an easy 6-1, 6-1 victory, followed by Alex Weber's 6-4, 7-5 win at number two. Noblett dropped just three games at number three, earning 6-2, 6-1 winners. Philp followed with an easy 6-1, 6-0 win at number four.
Belmont Abbey is back in action April 8 when hosting Barton.
