The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss to the visiting Catawba College Indians this afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center.

One singles match went the distance, as freshman Alex Weber lost the opening set 6-3 but rallied for a 6-1 victory in the second to stave off elimination and force a third set. In the third set, Maddy Henderson won the ten point tiebreaker.

Belmont Abbey is back in action tomorrow with a road match at King.
