The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team lost to the visiting North Greenville Crusaders by a 9-0 score this afternoon at the Reidy Tennis Center. Belmont Abbey is now 3-10 overall and 1-4 in Conference Carolinas, while North Greenville improves to 6-5 overall and 4-1 in league play.

Belmont Abbey went to a deciding third set in two matches, as Katharine Miller won the opening set 6-4 at the top flight before losing the net two sets by scores of 6-1 and 10-7. 

At number two, Alex Weber dropped the first set 6-1 but rallied for a 6-4 win in set two to set up a deciding third set, which was won by Maria Vargas by a 10-3 score.

The Crusaders host Catawba Monday at 2:00.
