The Lady Crusaders tennis team was defeated by a score of 9-0 today by the visiting Anderson Trojans. Katharine Miller fought hard in a 6-1, 6-4 loss at #1 singles, but came up just short in the second set. Alex Weber elevated her game in the second set, but Rebecca Bruning proved too much knocking off Weber in straight sets at #2 singles. Erika Noblett at #3 singles, and Meghan Philp at #5 singles, playing in their first career college matches, both lost in straight sets, but competed well. Brigid Donohue, playing at #4 singles fell by identical scores of 6-1 and 6-1 to Anderson's Ebner.
Belmont Abbey forfeited #3 doubles and #6 singles, and was swept in doubles play by the Trojans as well.
