Box Score Playing for the first time in two weeks, since earning a 3-0 sweep at Limestone on February 10, the Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team ran its winning streak to three with a 3-0 win at Emmanuel this evening in a Conference Carolinas matchup. Set scores were 25-21, 25-20 and 25-22. The Crusaders improve to 5-5 overall and 3-3 in Conference Carolinas, while the Lions drop to 1-8 overall as well as in conference play.
Nolan Albrecht led all players with 12 kills as the Crusaders hit .146 for the match. Anthony Pippen added eight kills with Justin Snyder totaling six. Derek Sullivan handed out 25 assists with Robert Valentine and Jon Lowenhagen both recording two. Snyder had the only Crusaders service ace.
Defensively, Albrecht's nine digs led all players, while Sullivan recorded two block solos and two block assists. Pippen added two block solos.
The Crusaders will look for their fourth win in a row Friday night at Lees-McRae. First serve is 7:00 p.m.
