The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team won two doubles matches and four of six singles matches to defeat Livingstone 6-3 for the first win of the 2014-15 season.
In doubles, the Crusaders claimed two easy wins as Katharine Miller and Alex Weber won at the top flight, 8-1. At number two, Meghan Philp and Erika Noblett captured an 8-0 victory. The Crusaders forfeited the third doubles match.
The singles competition saw Belmont Abbey win at two through five, all by 6-0, 6-0 scores, as Livingstone won the top flight and at number six.
Four Crusaders did not drop a game as Weber, Noblett, Philp and Nicole Ferren all won 6-0, 6-0 at numbers two through five. Philp, playing at number four, did not surrender a point in all 12 games.
Belmont Abbey forfeited number six singles.
The Crusaders are back in action Saturday at Erskine.
