The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team closed out the 2013 season with a 6-3 victory at King College this afternoon. The Crusaders won all three doubles matches and posted three singles wins, two by default as it finishes with a 2-15 overall record and a 2-8 mark in Conference Carolinas, while King ends its season with a ledger of 0-18 overall and 0-11 in Conference Carolinas.
Belmont Abbey won all three doubles matches, one by default, as Kirstie Jenkins and Katharine Miller posted an easy 8-2 victory at number one. Bridget Franer and Paige French recorded an 8-6 win at number two, while Brooke Ingram and Brigid Dononhue won by default.
In singles, Jenkins posted an easy 6-2, 6-2 win at number one. King won at numbers two, three and four, but the Tornado did not have players at five and six as Miller and Franer won by default.
