Men's Volleyball Falls In Five To Erskine, 3-2

The Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team won the first two sets to take what appeared to be a commanding lead, but the Erskine Flying Fleet won the last three sets to record a come from behind win and claim a 3-2 Conference Carolinas victory. Set scores from the Wheeler Center were 17-25, 22-25, 26-24, 25-20 and 15-8. Erskine moves above .500 to go to 13-12 overall and 9-6 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 10-19 overall and 4-11 in Conference Carolinas.

Nolan Albrecht led the Abbey with a career-high 19 kills, while Evan Young added 12 and Griffin O'Camb posted ten. Antony Koyfman added nine. Belmont Abbey hit .203 for the match. Derek Sullivan handed out 48 assists.

Defensively, Aaron DeKalb's 15 digs led all players. Koyfman added five total blocks, three assisted and two solo, while O'Camb totaled four block assists and Young contributed three.

Mike Michelau led Erskine with 28 kills as he registered a .379 attack. Mike Kawa added 19 and Omar Melendez contributed 15.
