Men's Volleyball Swept By League-Leading Mount Olive, 3-0

The Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team was swept by the visiting Mount Olive College Trojans this evening by a 3-0 score. The Trojans won by scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-21 as they improve to 18-3 overall and 12-0 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey slips to 9-16 overall and 3-9 in Conference Carolinas.

The Trojans hit .347 as Angel Dache led the way with 17 kills on 30 attacks with three errors (.467), while Adam Miracle added 12 and Alex Rivero posted 10. Quaid Martin handed out 26 assists in the final two sets, and Ben Casado finished with 12 as he played just the first set. Defensively, Dan Arnold led the Trojans with 12 digs.

Belmont Abbey hit ..158 as Nolan Albrecht and Griffin O'Camb both paced the Crusaders with ten kills. O'Camb also had a pair of service aces. Derek Sullivan handed out 22 assists.

Defensively, Aaron DeKalb led the way with seven digs, while Antony Koyfman and Evan Young both had two block solos each.
