The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team lost a 5-2 decision to the visiting Barton College Bulldogs this afternoon at Sacred Heart Courts. The final two singles matches were stopped due to darkness.

Kirstie Jenkins had a hand in both of the Abbey's victories, teaming with Katharine Miller to defeat Alicia Lasry and Lindsey Frederick to win at number one doubles by an 8-5 score. Jenkins also posted a 6-1, 6-4 win at number one singles.

The Crusaders two and three singles matches both went the distance, as Miller won the first set at number two singles, but then dropped the last two.

At number three, Brooke Ingram was downed in the first set, but rallied to win the second 6-4 to force a third, where she lost 6-3.
