Men's Volleyball Swept By Lindenwood, 3-0

Lindenwood used a balanced attack, hitting .232 as four players registered five kills or better as the Lions swept the Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team by a 3-0 score this evening at the Wheeler Center. Set scores were 25-19, 25-22 and 25-17. Lindenwood improves to 6-6, while the Abbey drops to 7-7. The two teams will meet again on Lindenwood's home court on March 5.

Belmont Abbey hit just .086 (30 kills, 22 errors on 93 total attacks) as Nolan Albrecht's nine kills led the way. Griffin O'Camb added eight and Brandon Kimbrell posted five. Derek Sullivan posted 26 assists and Albrecht handed out six.

Aaron DeKalb's 12 digs led all players, while Albrecht added eight. At the net, the Crusaders totaled three blocks as Evan Young posted two assisted.

The Lions recorded 38 kills on 95 attacks with 16 errors as Michael Adams led the way with nine kills. He posted a .300 attack as he logged nine scores on 20 attacks with three errors. Tim Huizinga and Colin Hackworth both posted eight kills, while Ted Kleffner logged five on eight attacks with no errors (.625). Tim Schmidt handed out 30 assists and had two service aces, as did Huizinga.

Defensively, Lindenwood posted 38 digs as Huizinga and libero David Poole both finished with 11. The Lions also totaled ten blocks as Kleffner and Thomas Cruz both finished with three block assists, while Schimdt, Huizinga and Hackworth both had two each.
