Belmont Abbey senior guard Tyshawn Good led all scorers with 35 points, 20 from the free throw line, as the Crusaders men's basketball team extended their winning streak to six with a 120-99 win over North Greenville this evening at the Wheeler Center. The win moves the Abbey's record to 18-6 overall and 11-5 in Conference Carolinas, while North Greenville drops to 9-13 overall and 5-12 in Conference Carolinas.

The 120 points is three shy of the school record of 123, set vs. Newberry on December 12, 1955 in a game played at The Haid.

37 of the Abbey's points came from the free throw line, as the Crusaders made 37 of 38 (97.4 percent). Good, the NCAA Division II leader in scoring average, finished with 35 points, including a perfect 20-20 from the line. He sank six of 11 from the field. He is now second all-time in single season points with 651, passing LaVar Curry, who scored 644 during the 1987-88 season. Terrone Sheffey added 22 points on eight of 11 shooting, while Jay Council netted 19. Ryan Conrad and Chris Davis both finished with 12. Belmont Abbey shot 47 percent (38-80) from the floor.

North Greenville was led by Chris Dean's 25 points, while Jamaal Pryor added 19. Keith Johnson totaled 17 and Tyshawn Patterson netted 15 as the Crusaders shot 45 percent from the floor.

North Greenville's only lead came at 2-0 on the first bucket of the game as the Abbey stormed out to a 67-41 halftime lead on the strength of 48 percent shooting. Good scored 25 in the first half as the lead grew to as high as 29 on four free throws from Good after he was fouled and an ensuing North Greenville technical foul.

The second half was all Belmont Abbey as the lead grew to as high as 33, 90-57, on a Sheffey jumper at the 12:37 mark. The advantage never dropped below 24 points as the Abbey cruised to its sixth-straight win.
