Box score

Belmont Abbey junior Kirstie Jenkins produced the only Crusaders victory, gutting out a tough three set win at number one singles, but women's tennis team fell 7-1 to the visiting Wingate Bulldogs this afternoon at Sacred Heart Courts. The last match of the day-number six singles-was not completed due to darkness.

Jenkins picked up her first singles victory of the year as she captured the first set 6-4. She then lost the second set by the same score and won the tiebreaker 10-5.

Katharine Miller, playing at number two, nearly won her match as she went the distance. She lost the first set 7-5, but rallied to take the second set 6-3, but dropped the tiebreaker, 10-5.

Jenkins and Miller nearly won their doubles match, but fell 8-6.
