The Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss at Lees-McRae this evening in a Conference Carolinas match at Williams Gymnasium. Set scores were 19-25, 13-25 and 14-25. Lees-McRae improves to 3-2 overall and 3-2 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 4-4 overall and 1-4 in Conference Carolinas.

Belmont Abbey finished with a .000 attack, as it equaled the number of kills and errors (19) on 72 total attacks. Evan Young paced the offense with seven kills on 20 attacks with five errors, while Griffin O'Camb knocked down six kills on 14 attacks with just two errors. Nolan Albrecht chipped in with five kills. Setter Derek Sullivan handed out 16 assists and also had a service ace.

Defensively, Aaron DeKalb led the way with 11 digs, while O'Camb recorded five. Young and Dustin Buell both posted a pair of block assists.

Lees-McRae hit .410 as John Lucas led all players with nine kills and Matt Harpenau added eight.
