Men's Volleyball Falls To Limestone, 3-0 In Program's First Home Match

The Belmont Abbey men's volleyball team hosted its first ever men's volleyball match before a spirited crowd of 475 at the Wheeler Center, but the Limestone Saints came away with a 3-0 win this evening. Set scores were 29-31, 20-25 and 21-25. Limestone improves to 2-1 overall and 2-1 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in Conference Carolinas.

Belmont Abbey hit .125 (38 kills, 25 errors on 104 total attacks) as Griffin O'Camb led the way with 13 kills. O'Camb posted a .321 attack as he had just four errors on 28 total attacks. Nolan Albrecht added nine kills and nine assists, while Evan Young added six kills. Derek Sullivan posted 23 assists. O'Camb also had an assist and the only Crusaders service ace.

Defensively, Albrecht's nine digs was the team high, while O'Camb and Aaron DeKalb both totaled seven each. Dustin Buell posted four total blocks, three assisted and one solo. Sullivan also had a pair of block assists.

Limestone hit .214 (43 kills, 21 errors on 103 total attacks) as Eric Zaun's 14 kills led all players. Scott Warren added 12 as he registered a .440 attack for the night. Warren had just one error on 25 total attacks. Andrew Pile handed out 41 assists.

Defensively, Joe Gilliland's ten digs led all players, while Zaun and Warren both finished with six. Warren also had three block assists and Andrew Miller had a pair.
