The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team closed out the 2012 season
with a 7-2 loss at Barton this afternoon. The loss eliminates the
Abbey from Conference Carolinas Tournament consideration as it
finishes with a record of 8-13 overall and a 3-8 mark in Conference
Carolinas. The three conference wins are the most in school
history.
Belmont Abbey picked up one win in singles and the other in
doubles, as senior Molly Gwaltney and Brooke Ingram posted an 8-6
win at number two doubles. Kirstie Jenkins battled to a three set
win at number one singles, gutting out a 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 win.
