Women's Tennis Edged At North Greenville, 5-4

The Belmont Abbey women's tennis team won three singles matches and a doubles match, but North Greenville claimed two doubles wins to earn a 5-4 win this afternoon at the Greer Tennis Club. North Greenville improves to 4-4, while the Abbey drops to 2-8.

Belmont Abbey claimed wins at the first three singles positions, as Kirstie Jenkins claimed a 6-3, 6-1 win at number one singles, and Katharine Miller won a hard-fought 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 win at number two singles. Brooke Ingram rallied from an opening set loss to record a 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 win at number three singles.

In doubles, Jenkins and Miller won at number one doubles by an 8-6 score.
