Men's Lacrosse Loses At #2 Limestone, 19-4

The Belmont Abbey men's lacrosse team fell at second-ranked Limestone 19-4 this afternoon in Gaffney. Limestone remains unbeaten at 7-0 overall and 2-0 in Conference Carolinas, while the Abbey drops to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in Conference Carolinas.

Dan Morrissey led the Crusaders with two goals, while Tanner Scharr and Nick Boylan both added one each. Brian Watson had two assists.

Limestone outshot the Abbey 45-26 as Riley Loewen led 11 Saints with five goals. Shayne Jackson, Jeff Santo, Desi Gonzalez and Thomas Langan both added two. Joshua Williams, Tyler Baker, Todd Nakasuji, Brian Patridge, Will Swank and Jackson Decker all finished with one.

Watson won four of eight face-offs to go along with a team-high five ground balls. Mike Pease added four. Tony Kikola made ten saves and scooped up three ground balls.
