For the second-straight match, Belmont Abbey freshman Emily Archer assisted junior Rebecca Mateo on the only goal of the match as the Crusaders women's soccer team moved to 2-0 with a 1-0 win at North Georgia this afternoon. Mateo scored the golden goal in double overtime in the season opening win at Catawba Thursday night. North Georgia falls to 1-1 on the year.

Archer assisted Mateo at the 85:45 mark. It was Mateo's only shot of the match as the Abbey totaled nine on the afternoon. North Georgia finished with 12 shots and had all seven corner kicks in the contest.

Senior goalkeeper Anna Donaldson made four saves in the net.

The Abbey is back in action tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 when it stays on the road with a match at Brevard.
